MEN'S PAJAMAS... ACCORDING TO HER

MEN'S PAJAMAS... ACCORDING TO HER

Tell me which pajamas you choose and I'll tell you who you are: women are convinced of this, as they see the night outfit as a character indicator for the man wearing it. Yet another confirmation of how pjs are much more than a "good night" companion.

It may be simple psychology, but a man can be understood by looking at his wardrobe.
Whether it's a business suit, a casual look or pajamas, it makes little difference: each outfit reflects his character and defines his style. A style that means, first and foremost, being oneself, regardless of fashions and trends. Women are convinced of this, and attention to detail is their trademark, especially when it comes to men's nightwear. In fact, pajamas are considered an expression of the most intimate and reserved soul of the man who wears them, especially if he wears them not only in the bedroom, but also in moments of relaxation, alone to regenerate, or shared with the dearest ones. Because the pjs is a transversal garment that goes beyond the night's rest and makes a pact of comfort even with free time, becoming the interpreter of a new approach to well-being in which the characteristics of relaxation dressing blend with those of sartorial clothing.

Bye bye nightwear e welcome Lifewear

One pair of pajamas is not the same as another, and nothing can be left to chance when choosing them: from the colours to the patterns, from the cut to the fabric, every detail opens a window on the world of the person who buys them, becoming their interpreter and offering keys to understanding their personality. Monica Bevacqua, globetrotter and owner of My Ideal Traveling, (www.myidealtraveling.com), Nicoletta Meriglio, style manager of Tollegno 1900 (www.tollegno1900.it) and Carmen Prestini, interior designer and owner of TH Home Decor (www.th-homedecor.it) are convinced of this and have very clear ideas on how pjs should be for "him".

Pajamas," explains Monica, "are a garment in all respects and, like those worn during the day, must express care for ourselves and respect for those around us. That's why you have to be careful when choosing it, because it has to sublimate aesthetics and comfort, pleasantness and cosiness without ever being banal. The model worn by a man who intrigues me should have a classic cut mixed with a contemporary look, and consist of wide-leg trousers and a shirt-jacket, in a plain colour, preferably blue and in a fabric that is already a caress to the eye. A true gentleman's outfit for the night and a clear sign of his savoir faire". Nicoletta, on the other hand, believes in the power of "less is more", for whom pajamas have well-defined and universal characteristics. “The rules are simple," she explains, "and they apply to both him and her: they must be comfortable, in natural fabric, preferably cotton as long as it is soft and caressing for the best fit, basic in design and patterns. My favourite is made up of a classic cotton trousers in tie or tartan patterns and a white or coloured t-shirt, but strictly crew-neck, short or long sleeved according to requirements. For the summer, I promote the crew-neck t-shirt, but combined with short shorts in a quality cotton. I reject cheap pajamas in synthetic fabrics and excessive patterns or colours". No excesses or extreme touches in the night look either for Carmen, who pays particular attention to the quality of the fabric. "Maybe it's due to a professional deformation, living among fabrics”, she says, “but that's where my attention falls. What I appreciate in a man's pjs, however, is also the taste for detail, which must have the ability to give charme. If I had to give it as a present, I would have no doubts and would pack a pjs in fine dark blue cotton, consisting of trousers with wide legs and a shirt-jacket with soft lines and profiled pockets.

Sobriety and elegance always win, even in sleep”
